The Good Cook – QR code scanner confusion

I recently looked through my stats for my blog. I found that there were a few search terms that people had used to find my post about the new BBC cooking show ‘The Good Cook.”

I thought I’d do a little post for those who are new to QR codes how they can obtain the data from their phones.

Basically, you do not need a specialised app for scanning on ‘The Good’ cook, all you need is any old scanner on your phone. Most android and iphones have built in scanners already, so just scroll through your phone and see what you can find.

MAIN TIP – DO NOT BUY A QR CODE SCANNER, THERE ARE FREE ONES OUT THERE!

Iphone (ios)

QR code Reader and Scanner (link: qr-code-reader-and-scanner)

RedLaser (link:redlaser-barcode-scanner-qr)

Android

Barcode Scanner (link: market.android.com/barcodescanner)

QRDroid – (link:market.android.com/qrdroid)

Well I hope thats cleared a few things up. I found it really weird how the BBC failed to mention the QR code feature at the beginning of the program. Either way, I hope this has be helpful to you.
